As part of our responsibility to contribute to a Sustainable Society, Environmental Manager Adrian Speller visited Gloucestershire College in January to carry out a talk on Sustainability in Construction. An audience of youngsters studying in the new NVQ in Construction and the Built Environment enjoyed an introduction to the key concepts of Sustainability; Society, the Economy & the Environment.

Examples of local projects as the University of Gloucestershire CETL Building and Kingsway Primary School were used to demonstrate Sustainable Design techniques. The session finished with the students successfully guessing what example of Eco-friendly material were for.

The lecture continues our successful Education partnership with Gloucestershire College; with further sites visits carried out to our Malvern College Sports Centre project, and work experience placements last year.
