Tindal Street Achieving Recycling Targets - 12 March 2010

The Tindal Street, Zero Carbon family home project in Birmingham, have just set new records for SpellerMetcalfe by achieving a 99.5% recycling rate on al waste created on the site so since the project commenced in September 2008. Of the 100 Tonne's of waste generated so far - including, brick blocks; plastic & soil only 0.5% was sent to landfill. This project continues to set new environmental standards with further measures being put in place as the build progresses.
